  • Ryng Dyng. Cloud based archery auto scoring, plotting and analysis - From Germany.

There isn't a huge amount of detail, but you should watch the video with english subtitles turned on.
What I think this is, is a box that sits on the ground near the targets. It's powered by USB battery packs.

It looks at the target faces and once calibrated, it can recognise targets and where the arrows land on them. It can score and plot arrows on a phone or tablet application, but it does interface with ArtemisLite, which is where I learned of it.
I'm pretty sure that it's cloud based, so you log into the system and it has your account there.

You're going to need a bit of internet for this, obviously.

    Hallo Andy,
thanks a lot for sharing this! I live in Austria, a neighboring country of Germany, but I only found out about this device via your post. In the meantime, I got in touch with the developers and I'll probably even get a device for testing. German is my native language, so maybe I can answer some questions.
The connection with Artemis is not yet complete, but work is ongoing. At the moment it is still working with its own app. The connection is made via WiFi, a supplied router bridges the distance to the target. Internet is only necessary to install updates or if the results at a tournament are to be broadcast live.

Cool. Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't totally sure if it was inbuilt or not but I'd sure as hell rather keep everything local. .

What I have learned in the last few days is that the records are still connected to the Archery Analytics server. I don't know how now, probably as soon as there is an internet connection. In any case, it will be linked to the personal account you set up at Archery Analytics.
This can be useful if you use different devices (smartphone, tablet). All data is saved on the server and is not lost. There you can also call up statistics that go over longer periods and large amounts of data.
