Thanks guys that helps. However you both forgot to mention numbers of arrows. I would asume that with 40 targets it's only 1 arrow???

          Just a 3D quicky

Hi all, I will be shooting a 3D AAA round at Hanging Rock in Feb. I just read the rules and see that I would be classed as Recurve Unaided. Does this mean that I shoot from the White peg and maximum distance is 30 yards? Cheers JR

              Re 3D

Are there specific size group animals with min max distances (like ABA paper animals) or is a case of any animal any distance?

There will not be a shoot at Hanging Rock in Feb. The Feb shoot will be at Gisbourne. PM me if you need directions

There may be one in Sept at the Rock .

Thanks guys! What a great thread! We were trying to guess the rules based on scanty information we got from other archers. This helps a lot! Now to build the confidence to enter in an event!

(ps i meant to like the whole thread, not just Brad's post above!)

                      Doogz,

This thread was originally started over 10 years ago! Some rules have changed, so it may be worthwhile having a read of the latest version of the 3DAAA rulebook. This can be found on the 3DAAA website http://www.3daaa.com/index.php/3daaa_rules/ Dont forget to download the full version. The rules listed on this page are a brief description of some that have been changed in recent times.

                      Leigh.

Thanks Leigh. Using these rules, with a hunting class bow on the open class peg I got 81/100 first time scoring! I was going well until the wheels came off and got a 64/100 on the back 10 targets but anyways will look up the new rules! Cheers

Does the IFAA 3D rules mean marked distances?

Lets also remember that weve got like two and a half people on this site. It doesnt really need a whole lot of rules.
